How We Ship Streamer Clams?
We carefully pack our live steamer clams ensuring they are snug in a foam-insulated box with gel packs, seaweed, and damp paper to maintain their freshness during shipping. Our deliveries are sent overnight via FedEx air service across the USA, except for Alaska and Hawaii due to shipping restrictions.
Handling & Thawing
If you plan to cook the clams within 2 or 3 days, you can store them alive in the refrigerator. However, if you won’t be cooking them for longer than that, it’s best to keep the clams in the freezer for storage. To thaw frozen steamer clams, you can place them in a bowl in the refrigerator overnight or soak them in cold water for a few hours, changing the water every 30 minutes until they are fully thawed.
